Hi there!
I'm Matt Musgrove, Producer of EarWyrm Podcast.

I love anthologies that challenge my mind. From The Twilight Zone to Black Mirror, stories have been there to broaden my perspective of the world through innovative, powerful, and layered meanings.
Why do we read books when we can watch videos? Why do we go to the theater to suspend disbelief? Why are roleplaying games bigger than ever?

Imagination.

I believe there's a lot of unexplored space to mine in the audio experience. As of 2018, there are close to 50 million YouTube channels, 440 million blogs, but just over 550,000 podcasts. That means for every podcast there are 800 blogs and 90 YouTube channels.

Imagine the incredible opportunity there was to start a blog in 2004 and you’ll have an idea of where podcasting is today.

More people are listening to podcasts than ever before. According to Edison Research, the number of Americans who listen to a podcast each week has grown 100% over the past four years, and 67 million Americans listen to a podcast every month.

After a ten-year run producing and acting in Los Angeles, the Pandemic reached into my soul and pulled out a resounding fact: I WANT TO MAKE STORIES. And with COVID constraints of live theater and video production, and the accessibility and flexibility of recording technology, why not audio plays!?

I have an incredible family of talent from around the world who have already dedicated their time to this endeavor and to which I'm deeply grateful, especially when dealing with different time zones.
My current team for Season 1: Extra Ordinary has included Cherron Arens, the Pro Tools master in San Francisco, Tess Makena, the music wizard in Hailey, ID, and my talented actor and writer friends from Japan (thanks, Rina!), the Beverly Hills Playhouse (LA), alumni from Ithaca College (NY), and The Liberty Theatre Company (ID).
